KUALA LUMPUR: A car with what appears to be a large cooking pot in its open boot has sparked safety concerns among netizens, who worry it may not be securely fastened and could pose a road hazard.
In a TikTok video shared by @haziq_shahril, a Toyota Vios — known for its limited boot space compared to larger vehicles — was spotted on a highway with the boot lid raised, precariously carrying an oversized pot sticking out.
The absence of any restraints makes it likely that the pot could fall onto the road at any moment.
The post's caption, in jest, claims the car is a "multipurpose vehicle," suggesting potential buyers consider it for their needs.
While many netizens found the situation amusing, they also raised serious safety concerns.
The video has since amassed over 512,000 views and 9,000 likes, prompting widespread discussion about the driver's actions.
User @anipjaa highlighted the danger of the unsecured pot, warning that should it fall onto the highway, it could result in "a different situation."
Meanwhile, @narinkarim82_ cautioned that drivers behind the vehicle must remain vigilant, and @user56546615595692 added that the driver is probably travelling slowly to prevent the pot from falling.
