THE BA of Malaysia (BAM) Invitational Championships' women's singles title is very much Soniia Cheah's to lose.
However, national back-up shuttler Eoon Qi Xuan is feeling confident ahead of tomorrow's final against Soniia after giving the World No 29 a tough time in the 19-21, 21-10, 21-17 defeat on Thursday.
Soniia, who defeated K. Letshanaa 21-10, 21-11 yesterday, topped the standings with an unbeaten 3-0 record while Qi Xuan finished second on 2-1.
"I've probably regained about 50 per cent of my touch and court feeling," said Qi Xuan.
"I'm quite satisfied with my performance so far. I've matured a bit in my game and making fewer mistakes.
"After pushing Soniia to three games on Thursday, I'm feeling confident to take her on again," said the World No 161.
Soniia said: "Qi Xuan's form has been very good so far.
"I am prepared for a hard game, although I do have the experience on my side.
"This is, however, a very good pressure for me to face, and it's a healthy competition to see my teammates pushing me hard."
In women's doubles, World No 14 Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean topped the round-robin standings as expected with a 3-0 record.
They will face World No 39 Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, who finished second in the standings, in the final.
