KUALA LUMPUR: Footballer Brendan Gan, who shone for Malaysia in the recent pre-World Cup, will leave Perak to join Selangor for the 2020 M-League.
The 31-year-old midfielder announced yesterday he will don the Red Giants colours next year.
Brendan made the announcement on his social media page. The FA of Selangor also said the same thing on social media.
Brendan said: “My 2020 vision is extremely clear. I’m about to write my next exciting chapter as a Red Giant. I will bring passion, energy, positivity and 100 per cent effort everyday.”
Selangor in turn, announced the former Sydney FC midfielder’s arrival via a motivational yet funny short video.
In the clip, Brendan said: “Everyday I work hard. From the time I wake up until it’s time to wind down. I’m always ready for any challenges. I always give my best in everything I do. It is never easy. Now it’s a new challenge. I’m hungry for success and I want to do it with Selangor. Let it be known, it has begun.”
Brendan played for Perak for two seasons, helping them to win the 2018 Malaysia Cup. In 2015, he played for Kelantan who emerged 2015 Malaysia Cup runners-up.
