NATIONAL Under-23 footballer Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak is broadening his horizons in the Land of the Rising Sun,
The striker is set to extend his playing time in Japan by joining another club there.
It was announced yesterday Hadi will move on loan to Japanese third division club Azul Claro Numazu from second division club Fagiano Okayama.
He will turn out for Azul from January to December next year.
This move is to give Hadi, who first joined Fagiano Okayama in December, 2018, more playing time.
The decision was made after discussions among Hadi, Fagiano Okayama and Yakult Malaysia, which has played a key role in helping Hadi move to the J-League.
Yakult Malaysia managing director Hiroshi Hamada said the move is important to aiding Hadi's development.
"This (loan) is important to helping Hadi get the game time he needs, and it will also give him some experience playing in the third division," said Hiroshi.
Hadi, who is the first Malaysian to play professional football in Japan, said he is looking forward to making the temporary switch.
"I want to thank the coaches and players at Fagiano Okayama as I have learnt a lot during my two years at the club.
"I am very happy with the improvements I have made as a footballer.
"I can't wait to start the new season with Azul Claro Numazo, I will do my best.
"However, this move is only temporary. I will be back at Fagiano Okayama."
