KUALA LUMPUR: Terengganu fans hope to see the return of Akhyar Rashid, who was attacked by robbers recently, for tomorrow's Super League match against Penang.
However, it remains uncertain whether Akhyar, who suffered minor injuries in the harrowing incident about two weeks ago, will take the field at the City Stadium tomorrow.
Terengganu, despite playing without winger Akhyar, beat Perak 3-1 in their season opener last week.
Terengganu coach Tomislav Steinbruckner expressed his satisfaction with the local defenders in the Perak game.
Meanwhile, Penang coach Akmal Rizal Rakhli said the islanders eye their first three points of the season after a 0-0 draw against Sabah last week.
"Against Terengganu, we expect a tough battle, but playing on home turf gives us an edge. The team's commitment, tactical understanding, and fitness are commendable," said Akmal.
But history favours Terengganu who have won three out of their last five matches against Penang.
