KUALA LUMPUR: Radio announcer Fizi Ali denies speculation that he has lost in the hadhanah (child custody) claim case and that his former wife Shakilla Khoriri had been granted the interim custody of their five-year-old daughter Nur Ameena Sofia.
Harian Metro today quoted the Hot FM DJ as saying that he only included a few terms in his claim, just to ensure that their daughter would grow up with attention and care from both parents.
"It's not my intention to get full custody, I just want the visitation rights and for Ameena to be able to spend some nights at my home, so that she would receive equal love and attention from us both.
"From the beginning, I've already agreed to let her mother get full custody. Through our lawyers, we've already come to an agreement for custody and visiting rights," said the 37-year-old whose full name is Mohd Hafizudin Alimudin.
He added that whoever says he had lost in the court case doesn't really know or understand.
"What is important is that I get the visiting rights and to be able to spend time regularly with Ameena."
Fizi and Shakilla married on Jan 18, 2018. They divorced in December 2021.
