KUALA LUMPUR: The bass player of rock band Rusty Blade, Sulaiman Ibrahim or Man Karen, died in Jurong, Singapore, this morning.
The unfortunate news was shared by Rusty Blade guitarist Khalid Mobin on Facebook today, according to a Harian Metro report.
It is understood that Man, who was once a member of the band Rockers, died of stage four brain cancer.
He had undergone surgery due to the disease in 2022.
His remains were buried at about 2pm in Singapore, today.
Rusty Blade, which also includes singer Yantzen, guitarist Md Noor Hendrix and drummer Zan, is one of the legendary rock groups in Malaysia and Singapore.
Man joined Rusty Blade, replacing original bassist Razak, after exiting the Rockers in 1988.
Together with Rusty Blade, Man played on the studio release Awas in 1989, which was also the band's last album.
