IPOH: A total of 48 people from 23 families at Kampung Sungai Batu, Pantai Remis have been evacuated following flash floods.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said a distress call was received at 6.03pm Wednesday after water rose to 0.9m following a downpour.
"The victims are temporary seeking shelter at Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Sungai Batu," he said.
In a separate incident, six families at the same village had a narrow escape following a landslide that uprooted trees that landed on their homes.
The same spokesman said the victims had been relocated to Pusat Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Tebuk Yan 2, Pantai Remis.
