GEORGE TOWN: An administrative officer has lodged a report alleging that her life had been "turned into a nightmare" following an encounter with a surgeon who forced her to have oral sex with him.
The woman claimed she now faces another headache of being threatened and intimidated by the police after the doctor lodged a false report against her.
In her report lodged at the Sungai Nibong police station on Nov 5, the 49-year-old said she was detained for no apparent reason on Oct 10 and kept locked up for two days.
The single mother said her two children were left to fend for themselves during her detention following a false report that was lodged against her by the surgeon.
In a detailed account of what had happened to her, the woman claimed the surgeon had taken advantage of her and forced her to perform oral sex on him on July 26.
The doctor subsequently tried to contact her several times after that, but she ignored him.
The victim, who works at a multinational company here, said this infuriated the doctor and he suddenly lodged a false report that she had threatened him.
She claimed the investigating officer (IO), a female sergeant, did not even give her any chance to explain herself when she turned up with her two children at the Northeast District police station on Oct 10.
"The female officer just seized my handphone without any explanation. I was kept locked up for two days.
"After I was released, I received threats through phone calls from someone claiming to be a police officer. I also received calls from another person who told me I should meet with the surgeon to resolve the matter," she claimed in her report.
The woman said she had since submitted details of all the telephone numbers based on the calls she received to the police.
However, she said instead of acting on her report, the IO had just told her that whatever happened should be a lesson for her.
"The IO even chided me that she could do whatever she wanted with me and no one would do anything about it.
"My identity card was also not returned to me after I was released," she said, adding she now fears for her family and also her safety.
The woman said she is now under trauma besides suffering from mental and psychological stress.
Meanwhile, Northeast District police chief Soffian Santong said an investigation into the case is ongoing.
"We will also investigate the woman's claims that the police are being used to threaten and silence her," he told the New Straits Times.
