SELAYANG: A fire broke out at several shops in Bandar Baru Selayang here, prompting a swift response from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said they received a distress call about the fire at about 7.54pm.
"We deployed 20 firefighters along with four fire engines, a water tanker, and an emergency medical rescue services vehicle to the scene. Personnel and vehicles were dispatched from the Rawang, Selayang, Jinjang, and Sentul fire stations," he said in a statement.
At least four shops were engulfed in flames, and firefighting efforts are currently underway to extinguish the fire.
