Man found in a pool of blood after argument about work turns ugly

TAMPIN: A 45-year-old man was critically injured after he was slashed by an acquaintance in a house in Gemencheh after an argument about work this morning.

The man was found in a pool of blood at around 3.30am. He was sent to Hospital Tampin for further treatment.

In a statement, district police chief, Superintendent Amiruddien Sariman said a 31-year-old man has been arrested.

He said preliminary investigations indicate the incident stemmed from an argument about work.

"The victim suffered injuries to his shoulder, stomach, legs and back."

The suspect has been remanded for seven days.

The case is being probed under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt using a weapon.
