Floods in Taman Sri Muda following heavy downpour

KUALA LUMPUR: Flood waters have inundated Taman Sri Muda in Section 25, Shah Alam following heavy downpour in the area.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said flood waters have risen to about 2.5-feet deep (approximately 0.76 metres) as of press time.

"At the moment, flood water has yet to enter houses. No evacuation has been done at the moment," he said in a statement today.

He said the Shah Alam fire and rescue station had responded to a distress call received at 4.55pm.

Norazam said two boats with six firemen had been dispatched to the affected area.
