KUALA LUMPUR: Local radio station Hot FM has offered former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin a position as an on-air announcer.
Hot FM, in a letter posted on various social media platforms, asked Khairy if he would like to venture out to a new field and work as an announcer at the radio station.
"Assalamu'alaikum Tuan Khairy Jamaluddin, Hot FM would like to offer you a position as a radio announcer, who will be working alongside Johan, Fara Fauzana, and AG.
"We would be honoured and hope that you will accept this offer," read the letter.
The radio station said it always welcomed new announcers and believed that the collaboration would be "hot and great".
It was reported that Johor Darul Ta'zim Football Club owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim had posted a picture of him with Khairy on social media with a caption that read: "Future JDTFC CEO and Johor youth adviser."
Khairy then reposted the picture with a brief response, saying: "One door closes, others will open. Rezeki di tangan Allah (Everything is in God's grace).
Umno on Friday sacked Khairy from the party for violating its constitution in the 15th General Election (GE15).
The former Umno Youth chief and Rembau member of parliament contested the Sungai Buloh seat in GE15, but lost to PKR's Datuk R. Ramanan.
