Salahuddin undergoes surgery for brain haemorrhage

ALOR STAR: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub is in surgery to treat brain haemorrhage at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital here, today.

Salahuddin was rushed to the hospital at about 10.15pm yesterday, after developing nausea and vomiting.

"The KPDN minister's office will update his condition from time to time," said his press secretary Syakirin Husnal in a statement.

It is understood that Salahuddin, who is also Parti Amanah Negara vice-president, was supposed to attend "ceramah Perpaduan" rally in Kota Sarang Semut last night.

Earlier yesterday, he attended two programmes in Kedah including one at Universiti Utara Malaysia in Sintok in the afternoon.

Salahuddin is scheduled to attend the Rahmah tour programme at Seberang Jaya Exposition Site in Seberang Perai this morning.
