KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd's (NSTP) booth successfully achieve more than RM50,000 in total sales value at the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (PBAKL) at the World Trade Centre (WTC) here.
NSTP Business Development Unit senior executive Wan Fazly Hizam Wan Kadir said this encouraging response proves that the three NSTP newspapers - the New Straits Times (NST), Berita Harian (BH) and Harian Metro (HM) - remain relevant in delivering current information to all layers of society.
"Our target of achieving RM50,000 in total sales value was achieved this morning. Each of these new subscribers will now gain free access to NST, BH and HM digital platforms for the initial seven days.
"In addition to NSTP digital newspapers, our booth also sells books published by NSTP, including works like 'Lat The Early Series,' 'Tunku In His Own Words,' and 'Dedication & Integrity of Tun Abdul Razak 1922-1976,'" he said.
The NSTP booth offers various activities and attractive deals throughout the 41st PBAKL, including e-paper subscription packages, sales of the company's products and books at special prices. The PBAKL ends on Sunday.
Wan Fazly Hitam said the free distribution of 4,000 copies of the three NSTP newspapers continues to encourage the public to read newspapers and obtain accurate information on current news, affairs and trends.
"Since the first day, NSTP has been distributing all three of its newspapers to PBAKL visitors. So far, the digital versions of NSTP's newspapers have also exceeded the subscription target, thanks to promotions for students and university attendees with a special registration offer of RM31.80 per year," he said.
At the same time, the NSTP booth also sells souvenirs from Anugerah Bintang Popular (ABP) and all products available from the NSTP platform.
"We are very proud to showcase NSTP products for the public to own. Additionally, for the purchase of NSTP products such as novels, a free gift in the form of a Julie's Biscuit Bag sponsored by Julie's Manufacturing Sdn Bhd will be given," he said.
