Brother-in-law of suspect in Nur Farah Kartini murder appeals to stop speculating

KUALA LUMPUR: The brother of the wife of the suspect in the Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah murder case has made an emotional plea for the public to stop speculating on the case.

As reported by Malaysia Gazette, the brother said his sister was  extremely disturbed and was crying every day.

"Please stop all speculations and respect her situation and our family," said the brother.

"She can no longer work and needs to take care of her baby daughter, so please help her get through this very difficult time," he said when met in Pengkalan Batu today.

According to brother,40, the extreme emotional pressure experienced by his 25-year-old sister, requires the family to constantly be with her to provide moral support.

"Please help my sister by not spreading any false information and let the police carry out their investigation according to the law," he said.

"We have also been advised by counseling officers to always accompany her because we are worried about any undesirable incidents, especially since she needs to take care of her eight-month-old baby girl," he added.

He said his sister has to stay away from social media because she fears reading the various assumptions made about this case, which would only worsen her emotional distress.

"They (people) don't know how painful this is, especially since my sister is innocent and has no knowledge of anything.
