Karnival Jom Heboh: Painting with recycled materials at Galeri Prima MPB booth

KUALA NERUS: Media Prima Berhad (MPB) is hosting a creative art activity using recycled and reused materials at the Galeri Prima booth during the Jom Heboh Carnival at the Terengganu State Sports Complex, Gong Badak.

The activity, named Jom Kreatif Galeri Prima, offers visitors, especially children, the opportunity to engage in artistic activities and express their creativity.

Galeri Prima MPB head, Azlynn Aziz, said that Jom Kreatif Galeri Prima aims to spark creativity among the public through interactive and fun art activities using recycled materials.

"This event encourages artistic expression and an understanding of sustainable practices, raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation," she said today.

According to Azlynn, visitors can learn painting techniques using recycled materials with guidance from instructors from the Malaysian Institute of Fine Arts.

In addition to art using recycled materials, the gallery is also hosting batik and ceramic art activities by Terengganu craft entrepreneurs, as well as portrait and caricature drawing sessions conducted by lecturers and alumni of the Malaysian Institute of Fine Arts.

"Visitors only need to pay RM10 to create art according to their creativity, and they can take their artwork home as a memento.

"Over the past two days, we have received an encouraging response from visitors, especially children," she said.
