KUALA LUMPUR: Liridon Krasniqi has joined Terengganu FC on a one-year loan deal from Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT).
Terengganu confirmed this in a statement released on social media today. The naturalised player is expected to don the No 80 squad number.
Terengganu disclosed that Krasniqi's signing will help strengthen their midfield and boost their title chances in the M-League and AFC Cup. Krasniqi is fondly nicknamed Mat Don by Malaysian fans.
Krasniqi had spent two-years abroad playing for a number of clubs on loan including Newcastle Jets (Australia), Odisha FC (India) and Khon Kaen United (Thailand).
The attacking midfielder was given a Malaysian citizenship in 2020 after staying in the country for five-years and made his national team debut in 2021. Krasniqi has played seven games for Harimau Malaya, scoring one goal.
Domestically, he has played with Kedah, Melaka United and JDT.
