Laugh yourself intostitches on cruise

GEORGE TOWN: FAMOUS South Korean non-verbal comedy show, Nanta awaits those who sign up for SuperStar Libra’s cruise until Jan 2.

There was only standing room when the talented quartet made their debut on board the Star Cruises vessel recently. There were 500 people in the audience.

The longest-running show in South Korean history combines the team’s pulsating percussion melodies with traditional Korean music, Samulnori.

The music is creatively played throughout the non-verbal theatrical, with traditional Korean water drums and cooking utensils such as pots, whisks and carving knives.

The audience broke into laughter watching the performers playing three half-baked chefs trying to prepare a banquet within an hour, while the incompetent nephew of their hard-nosed manager throws a spanner into the works.

The audience were also treated to kung-fu stunts by four artistes.

Parents planning a holiday with their children should definitely consider a trip on board the SuperStar Libra.
