POPULAR singer from the 1990s Hasnol Hassan Ariff is set to marry for the third time in December. The 54-year-old expressed confidence in this relationship, despite two previous failed marriages.
He met his future wife on the TikTok app four years ago, but their relationship only became serious recently.
"God willing, I will be a married man at the end of the year. At first, I thought she was married based on the photo of a man she uploaded on the platform.
"After all, I'm not the type that likes to bother other couples. It was only after the man's picture was no longer visible that I approached her."
She is a woman in her 40s, unmarried, and works as an accountant in Temerloh, Pahang.
"Let me introduce her as Z," he said in a recent 'Berita Harian' report.
Hasnol was drawn to Z's strong personality.
"She is a firm person and that made me follow her in being firm with my own decisions. She can drive me forward and teach me to follow my instincts in making decisions.
"A woman like that is what I need in life," he said.
The couple plans to have a simple wedding ceremony.
"Although we are capable of having something on a large scale, our wedding will just be a simple one.
"All I can say is she is a godsend," he said.
On Oct 6 last year, Hasnol divorced his then-wife, Marina Mohin, after 12 years together.
He has a daughter, Haneesa Maisara, 13, from that marriage.
Hasnol also has three other children from his first marriage with Akhmarzuraikha Salleh.
The 'Laguku Untukmu' singer was met at a recent press conference for the Vits Music Festival — Konsert Telan Kaset 90's in Kuala Lumpur.
The concert, co-organised by Karyawan, will be held at Padang Timur in Petaling Jaya (8am-11.30pm) on Oct 12 and 13.
