BESUT: A Korean doctor who went for snorkeling at an area in Pulau Perhentian Besar here, was found drowned yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Kim Byung Rin, 40. His body was found by his friends who went for his search.
Deputy Besut district police chief Superintendent Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the friends discovered the body soon after being alerted by the victim's wife Lee Yong Joo.
"According to the victim's wife, her husband did not return to their chalet as he promised in the evening.The wife then decided to ask other members of the snorkeling group on her husband's whereabout .
"Together with them, they went to the sea. Arrived there, they saw the body floating nearby the beach," he said.
Noorzainy said the body was later sent to Besut hospital for a post-mortem.
