KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today visited the New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd booth at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) held at the Kuala Lumpur World Trade Centre.
On hand to greet Anwar were Print Tower Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Luqman Adrine Ja'afar, Newspaper Sales and Distribution general manager Prakash Munusamy and NSTP Business Development Special Project manager Tengku Kaifimirza Tuan Cherit.
During his visit to the booth, Anwar was given a briefing on the NSTP products, namely the three newspapers; New Straits Times (NST), Berita Harian (BH) and Harian Metro (HM) and also books.
Anwar later signed a copy of the coffee table book '1963-2013 Chronicle of Malaysia: Fifty Years of Headline News'.
Tengku Kaifimirza said the prime minister then asked if another book would be published to highlight the headlines after the year 2013.
"We told the prime minister that we will convey the matter to the management," said Tengku Kaifimirza.
Meanwhile, the public can get free access to NSTP's e-papers when they register at the NSTP booth during the book fair, which started yesterday (May 26) until June 4.
"They can get free access to the e-paper of NST, BH and HM for a week.
"At the same time, we also will be distributing 5,000 physical copies of the NST, BH and HM daily. All these were sponsored by the National Book Council of Malaysia," Tengku Kaifimirza said.
He said the feedback so far has been encouraging.
"Some of the visitors were not aware of the existence of the e-paper of the NST, BH and HM.
"By having this booth, the public can get to know more about our products," he said.
